What the studio collects when you use this website, why, and what happens to it.

What this covers

This explains what Created Motion Studios collects when you use this website, why, and what happens to it. It covers this site only.

What you give us

If you submit an inquiry, we store what you typed: your name, email address, and optionally a phone number, along with the details of the project — what you are making, roughly when, roughly where, and a budget range if you chose to give one. Four of those fields are required; everything else is optional and the form works without it.

We keep the submission as you sent it, so the studio can read exactly what you wrote rather than a summary of it.

If you arrived from a service or package link, the form records which one, so the studio can see what prompted the inquiry. That is taken from the link you followed, not from anything about you.

What we record about the visit

Two things, stored with the inquiry itself. The first is the page on this site you submitted the form from, so the studio can see which part of the site leads to work.

The second is a one-way hash of your IP address — never the address itself. It is keyed with a secret only this website holds, it is used for one thing, limiting how often the form can be sent, and it is deleted after 30 days.

We do not record your browser’s user agent, and nothing else is recorded about the visit.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies for visitors. There is no advertising cookie, no cross-site tracker, and no third-party analytics script. The video player sets no cookies and has its viewing analytics switched off.

The studio’s private admin uses one strictly necessary cookie to keep the studio signed in. It is set only when the studio signs in, and never for visitors to the website.

Who else sees it

Four services process data on the studio’s behalf in order to run this site. Inquiries are stored in a database hosted by Supabase. When one arrives, a notification is emailed to the studio through Resend — that email goes to the studio only, and no confirmation email is sent to you. The site itself is hosted by Vercel.

Videos on work pages are hosted and streamed by Mux. Nothing is loaded from Mux until you press play — or, for a short silent clip set to play by itself, until it scrolls into view. Then your browser fetches the video from Mux, which, like any web server, sees your IP address and browser in order to send it.

Your inquiry is not sold, shared for advertising, or passed to anyone else.

How long it is kept

Inquiries are kept as part of the studio’s client records so that a conversation started months ago can be picked up where it left off. The hash of your IP address is deleted after 30 days. If you would like your inquiry removed, ask and it will be.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Get in touch and the studio will action it.
